We are seeking a Senior IV&V Program Manager to oversee the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services for a high-visibility Wide-Area-Network (WAN) Implementation project. This is a critical two-year initiative aimed at modernizing WAN transport services to improve network agility, reduce recurring costs, and enhance service delivery.
As the IV&V Program Manager, you will ensure project health by monitoring progress, identifying risks, evaluating vendor compliance, and reporting to the designated leadership. This role requires collaboration with the WAN Implementation vendor and adherence to established processes and project lifecycle deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Review and analyze WAN Implementation plans and schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor and report on project health metrics, vendor performance, and adherence to the contract and project plans.
- Assess project deliverables and identify risks or concerns, providing actionable recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver monthly project assessment reports evaluating governance, scheduling, and communication.
Deliverables Oversight:
- Develop and manage an IV&V Project Management Plan outlining scope, timelines, methodologies, communication strategies, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate a "Kick-off Meeting," providing initial project documentation and presentation materials.
- Submit Monthly IV&V Status Reports detailing progress, risks, and recommendations.
Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with the WAN Implementation vendor, project personnel, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
- Ensure that pre- and post-communications are conducted for each of the approximately 700 physical branch sites.
- Provide support remotely and onsite as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Experience:
- At least 8-10 years of experience as a senior program manager for large-scale IV&V initiatives, preferably in WAN or similar infrastructure projects.
- Experience with technology projects involving multi-vendor environments.
- Expertise in project health monitoring, risk management, and compliance auditing.
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with WAN transport services, SD-WAN technology, and large-scale network implementations.
- Strong understanding of governance structures, project management methodologies, and lifecycle deliverables.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt and collaborate in dynamic project environments.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of established project management processes and WAN Implementation practices.
- Previous experience working on high-visibility, transformative initiatives.
