The Azure DevOps Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines to modernise software delivery processes. Working closely with the Staff Augmentation team, this role ensures the delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable solutions for client outcomes. This is a 12 month contract role.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Design, implement, secure and optimise investments in Azure DevOps, including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans and Artifacts.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to implement DevOps services in accordance with relevant industry and government standards and policy
  • Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Implement best practices in secrets and credential management, leveraging Azure Key Vault and GitHub Advanced Security.
  • Support the migration of existing repositories and pipelines to Azure DevOps, ensuring secure access controls and permissions.
  • Refactor and optimise existing CI/CD workflows for improved efficiency, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine Policy, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) artifacts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Implementation of relevant corporate policies and security configurations 
  • Integrate Azure DevOps with other tools and platforms.
  • Provide training and documentation to upskill on Azure DevOps tools, processes, and best practices.

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in migrating workflows and repositories to Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in developing and implementing secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps tools, including Pipelines, Boards, Repos, and Test Plans.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with pipeline design, management, and optimisation.
  • Knowledge of migration processes for repositories and pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure Key Vault, GitHub Advanced Security, and related credential management practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation practices within Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and technical teams.
