The Team and Role:

The Data Governance Architect will work as part of the Solution Architecture team and will be responsible for 

  • Design and implement data governance strategies, structures, and processes within the Logitech Organization that are scalable across the entire organization.  
  • Empowering business teams with Governance solutions to define Governance Policies, Security Rules and provide easy access to Data Catalog and related artifacts based on the security definitions.
  • Designing supporting systems to define, benchmark, control and improve data quality.

As part of implementing a Data Governance Framework, you will:

  • Design and Develop data governance solutions to implement Governance policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the organization's data.
  • Create Solutions for Data Catalog, Data Dictionary, Data Lineage, Data Security and Access including Row Level, Column Level, and data masking/ tokenization/ encryption.
  • Enable and coordinate a Data Governance Steering Committee and implement decisions of the steering committee to drive these standards across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments / business groups and data owners to ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with the wider IT, Cybersecurity, Privacy teams to implement data governance and data quality tools and technologies to support data management and data quality initiatives across all the Enterprise IT Solutions.
  • Provide Governance and Integration processes for Customer and Product MDM Data Programs so that the approach is consistent across the entire organization.
  • Redefine Change Management Processes to ensure Governance is maintained with each deployment to production.

As part of implementing a Data Quality Framework, you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to establish data quality standards, benchmarks, and guidelines.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data quality improvement initiatives, including data catalog creation with clear data definitions, accountable data owners, clear data access rules, data cleansing and enrichment initiatives.
  • Define the architecture to support Single Sources of Truth for each Data source or metric and promote reusability for reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Define and monitor key data quality metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain data quality monitoring and reporting processes to identify and address data quality issues.
  • Ensure success of Gen AI programs by creating an enterprise data layer with data quality for training Gen AI platforms and tools

As part of Implementing a Central Data Platform, you will:

  • Create and Evangelize a Strategy for a Central Data Platform which will support the Data Governance Strategy across all functions in the enterprise.
  • Implement Central Data Platform design for Enterprise data governance / lineage and quality processes.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team for a scalable Integration design and process as part of the Central Data Platform and ensure that best practices and industry standards are implemented.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field with 10+ years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5  years of experience in data management, governance, privacy, security or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-wide governance initiatives across data domains.
  • excellent cross-discipline communication via written and verbal communication 
  • Strong understanding of cloud centric architecture
  • Experience in Leading SAAS database platforms 

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Experience in creating cross functional Data Governance programs from scratch in the organization in collaboration with Cybersecurity and Privacy teams 
  • Experience in identifying areas for improvement in data governance processes, and proven ability to develop strategies regarding AI use, research data protection and security of data and data-intensive applications
  • Experience in developing policies, governance procedures, and best practices related to research data management, AI implementation, and data protection
  • Experience working with Market Leading DG tools
