We are looking for a professional and engaging Solutions Architect based out of our Texas branch locations to focus on Data Technical Presales including the design, architecture and implementation of solutions within the Long View's Data & Dynamics Practice. Utilizing your deep and expert knowledge in Azure and Data Analytics, you understand client requirements through strong business and technical consulting skills and are proficient in creating and implementing proven solutions that solve business challenges. 


A Day in the Life:
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, demonstrations, and product education as required
  • Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges
  • Support Long View’s Business Applications and Data Modernization portfolio by working with customers and internal stakeholders to define customer solutions, and deliver engagements that are innovative and exceed business requirements
  • Analyze complex requirements and develop IT strategies and multi-technology solutions that are aligned with industry-accepted best practices
  • Create relevant documentation as required including conceptual design, logical and physical designs, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
  • Follow best practices for DataOps including contributing to the creation and grooming of a program backlog of features and tasks
  • Develop estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs) and proposals which outline professional services required to meet client requirements
  • Assist with hosting presentations and/or education sessions such as Lunch & Learns
  • Align with clients to build long term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View
  • Stay abreast of architectural and industry changes, especially in the areas of Cloud and Data Analytics


  • What You Bring:
  • 10+ years in industry working as a developer and subject matter expert in data analytics with Azure
  • 5+ years of experience advising on, managing, and successfully delivering cloud technical solutions focused on Data and Analytics
  • Significant experience with the following:
  • o Azure Data Lake
  • o Azure Data Warehouse
  • o Azure Data Factory
  • o Azure Synapse
  • o Databricks
  • o Azure LogicApps
  • o Azure Resource Manager and Powershell
  • Experience with at least two of the following:
  • o Python
  • o Scala
  • o Spark
  • o R
  • o TSQL
  • o PLSQL
  • Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences
  • Familiarity with Lamda and Lakehouse architecture principles and willingness to work within the approved Long View frameworks
  • Comfort working in complex environments
  • Ability to grasp new technology concepts rapidly and assess their relevance for client solutions
  • Capability to work with both business and technical stakeholders to elicit and understand requirements and define the high-level business case the envisioned solution provides, lead architectural design sessions, define implementation approaches and guide customers’ decision making to ensure sustainable solutions are implemented
  • Experience with and/or understanding of DataOps principles
  • General Database Administrator skills and knowledge
  • Experience with the setup and configuration of Power BI (Power Query, Data Management Gateway, SSAS Tabular Connector)
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and best practices, and its strategic importance to organizations
  • Exceptional customer engagement, interpersonal, presentation and overall communication skills
  • Excellent time management, crisis management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple work streams across multiple engagements, while maintaining composure and professionalism to meet tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration

  • o A Master Data product such as Informatica, Profisee, or Data Quality Services
