Our rapidly expanding global chemical distribution company is hiring an experienced Quality Engineer.  This is a remote position, but candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Atlanta for a possible future schedule change to one office visit per week.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will lead the Quality Team and establish quality objectives for the company. This role focuses on addressing customer quality concerns, maintaining evaluation systems for external partners, and driving internal operational process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Quality Team, overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) and audits. Take ownership of the QMS and ensure compliance with organizational certifications, including ISO 9001.
  • Resolve customer complaints and quality issues. Develop effective solutions to prevent recurrence, and continuously analyze quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a vendor/supplier evaluation system. Ensure external products and services meet high-quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain warehouse standards. Work with partner warehouses to document and train on processes that drive efficiency.
  • Drive operational process improvements related to quality. Provide training to enhance knowledge, competency, and understanding, ensuring personnel remain informed of process changes.

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering, manufacturing, or chemistry).  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or process engineering.  
  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams.  
  • Experience with chemical manufacturing or warehouse management processes preferred.  
  • ISO auditor certification required.
