Job Title: Video Editor
Employment Type: Full Time, Part Time, or Project basis
Location: Remote, but ideally San Diego.

Overview:
VET Tv is seeking a skilled Marketing Video Editor to join our team. This role focuses on editing trailers, sizzles, and promotional videos that market our military-focused streaming platform and its original series. You will play a key role in driving audience growth by creating compelling content that captivates, entertains, and engages our unique audience.

Responsibilities
  • Edit Trailers and Sizzles: Create high-impact trailers, sizzles, and promotional videos to market new and existing shows on the VET Tv platform.
  • Series Promotion: Collaborate closely with producers and the creative team to edit content that highlights key themes, storylines, and characters, while resonating with the military and veteran audience.
  • Platform Marketing: Edit videos that showcase the platform's exclusive content, features, and brand identity, emphasizing the value of subscribing to VET Tv.
  • Content Repurposing: Adapt longer-form episodes and series into shorter promotional clips for various digital platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
  • Storytelling: Use your editing skills to craft compelling visual narratives that align with the VET Tv brand and audience expectations.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all video content is consistent with VET Tv's voice and visual style, maintaining high production standards.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the creative team, marketing department, and other stakeholders to ensure content aligns with marketing campaigns and goals.
  • Platform-Specific Content: Edit for various digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and the VET Tv website, tailoring content to each platform’s best practices.
  • Feedback: Revise edits based on feedback from creative directors, producers, and other team members.
  • Content Archive: Manage and organize video assets for efficient project workflow and archival purposes.


    • Requirements
  • Proven Experience: 4+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong focus on marketing trailers, sizzles, or promo content. Experience in military or veteran-focused content is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Adobe Premiere. After Effects and Photoshop would be a plus. Ability to fill in as videographer/cinematographer would be a huge plus.
  • Creative Vision: Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and timing, with the ability to evoke emotion and engagement through your edits.
  • Passion for Content: A genuine interest in military culture and the unique content that VET Tv produces, with a desire to contribute to a platform that serves the veteran community.
  • Military: Prior military experience is required.
