Our mission drives us, and we’re committed to creating positive change alongside a team of brilliant, diverse, and collaborative individuals. Thanks to these efforts, we’ve been recognized among Best Companies' Group Inclusive Workplaces and named one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for the past five years.

At ThoughtExchange, we’re reshaping community and employee engagement for good. If you’re passionate about making a difference, we’d love to have you join our journey.

About the Role:

Are you a visionary leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and collaboration? Do you have a passion for connecting teams, driving impactful go-to-market strategies, and championing customer success? Are you excited about revolutionizing how organizations unlock human potential through cutting-edge AI-driven solutions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We’re looking for a Senior Director, Product Marketing at ThoughtExchange.  As the driving force behind shaping how our innovative platform is brought to market and amplifying the impact of our established features, the Product Marketing team plays a pivotal role in Thoughtexchange's growth strategy. As Senior Director, you will lead a dynamic team and collaborate closely with key partners across Product, Sales, and Customer Success to define and execute our product marketing strategy. You’ll oversee multiple product and feature launches each year, refine and evolve core messaging, conduct thorough market analysis, and provide strategic input to the product roadmap to ensure our solutions address real-world needs. Your contributions will be integral to expanding our reach, capturing new markets, and reinforcing Thoughtexchange's position as a leader in AI-driven engagement.

The base hiring range for this role is $159,563 - 183,406 CAD. Your specific compensation within this range is determined based on your job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and our internal equity assessment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify evolving trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Utilize insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance product offerings, ensuring alignment with market demands.
  • Positioning/Messaging: Create and refine tailored value propositions that resonate with target audiences. Develop clear and compelling product positioning statements that effectively communicate the unique benefits and features of our offerings to drive customer engagement.
  • Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor industry competitors and analyze their strategies to ensure our product positioning remains relevant and competitive. Adjust marketing tactics as needed to capitalize on market opportunities and counter competitive threats.
  • GTM Strategy: Strategically plan and execute product launches, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. Align go-to-market strategies with organizational goals, fostering an integrated approach to product commercialization.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip Sales and Customer Success teams with impactful and effective materials that enhance their ability to communicate product value. Develop training resources and tools that empower teams to engage customers effectively throughout the sales cycle.
  • Customer Engagement: Design and implement innovative programs that promote customer education and foster engagement with our products. Focus on building strong relationships with customers to enhance their experience and ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Product Collaboration: Work closely with the product management team to ensure alignment on the product roadmap and gather valuable feedback on features. Facilitate ongoing dialogue to ensure that product development is tightly integrated with market needs and customer expectations. Work closely with Product Management to refine pricing and packaging strategies that enhance market competitiveness and drive revenue growth.
  • Lifecycle Marketing: Lead initiatives that drive awareness and adoption throughout the various stages of the product lifecycle. Develop targeted marketing campaigns that engage customers from initial introduction to ongoing usage, maximizing product value and customer.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Guide, support, and empower a team of product marketing and sales enablement professionals
  • ADEI: Forward TE’s Anti-Racism and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ADEI) mandate by (at a minimum) supporting TE’s ADEI commitment and initiatives, demonstrating inclusive behaviours and completing all required ADEI training.

  • What We’re Looking for:
  • 7+ years in a product marketing role, ideally for Software/SaaS companies
  • Proven experience in a product marketing leadership role
  • A strategic thinker who can translate business goals into actionable initiatives
  • A natural collaborator who excels in cross-functional partnerships
  • Strong analytical skills to track performance and drive data-informed decisions
  • Passion for mentoring and empowering teams to achieve their best work
  • If you don’t see yourself fully reflected in every job requirement listed in the posting above, we still encourage you to reach out, apply, and tell us more about yourself in your application. Research has shown that women and underrepresented groups often only apply when they feel 100% qualified. We are committed to creating a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse company. We strongly encourage applicants of all genders, ages, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, sexual orientations, and life experiences to apply.

ThoughtExchange welcomes applications from people with disabilities. Support is available upon request for candidates participating in all aspects of the selection process. Finally, we know from time to time, emergencies happen, and you may need to reschedule an interview - we understand and encourage you to be in communication without worrying about losing the opportunity or your credibility.

What we offer: ThoughtExchange wants to ensure our people are heard, supported, and cared for—so we invest in our employees. We're continuously asking our employees what they need to ensure we're supporting their successes in the workplace and life. We are proud to offer our employees the following:

Benefits & Well-Being: From day one, you’ll receive a benefits package focused on health & wellness that includes a generous time off policy, flexible extended benefits plan options, and company-wide Mental Health days off scheduled through the year. Our benefits package also includes maternity & parental leave top-up programs and access to Maple, Inklebot, and Headspace which support our employees' primary care, mental health, and wellness needs.

Flexibility: We’ve been remote-first for over ten years. We’re contribution-focused and operate on mutual trust because we need you to feel empowered to be your best self. You know the circumstances in which you excel—where you work and how you structure your day.

Ownership: In addition to competitive pay and benefits, employees receive share options when joining the company. Additional options are awarded throughout your ThoughtExchange career based on ongoing contributions to the company.

Culture: We walk the walk when it comes to our product and ensure no important decisions are made without including our employees' perspectives. We value and prioritize everyone’s voice, so we use our anonymous, anti-bias platform to make sure people are comfortable sharing their real thoughts and feedback.

Compensation: We want you to do your best work, and part of that is being happy with your compensation. We pay fairly, considering the complexities of market rates, experience, location, and demand. We believe in pay transparency and pay equity.

Connection: In addition to remote hubs of employees across Canada and the US and offices in Rossland and Vancouver, we get together as a company every 1-2 years in some pretty cool locations. We also connect virtually as a company every month and celebrate one another in our #gratitude Slack channel.

Growth: You can join regular Anti-racism, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ADEI) and Learning & Development sessions. You also have access to an annual Professional Development stipend & Company Coach to ensure you can grow in your role & advance your career.
