Job Summary

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and processing claims related to supplemental insurance products. Your duties include securing and analyzing information, adjudicating claims, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. You will interact with claimants, policyholders, and various stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues. Additionally, you will handle appeals and complaints, manage complex claims, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will involve eligibility verification, claim payment processing, and communication with relevant parties to maintain effective claim management.

  • Adjudicate and process supplemental insurance claims (40%)
  • Handle appeals, complaints, and complex claim management (30%)
  • Verify eligibility, calculate payments, and resolve issues (20%)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and process enhancements (10%)
  • Ability to work remotely and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is a requirement of the role. *

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Must-Haves:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits or financial services
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
    • Strong experience in claims management and direct claimant interactions
  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree arts or sciences, business, or related field
    • Advanced understanding of supplemental insurance products
    • Experience with complex claims and regulatory compliance
    • Ability to handle high-stress situations and complex problem resolution
  • Additional Requirements:

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$47,000.00 - $69,250.00
