Job Summary

In this role, you will oversee the adjudication and processing of supplemental insurance claims. Your responsibilities include managing claims from intake through payment, ensuring accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service. You will handle appeals and complaints, manage complex claims, and develop claim management strategies. This position also involves training and mentoring team members, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders. You'll collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and ensure high-quality work.

  • Manage and adjudicate supplemental insurance claims (40%)
  • Handle appeals, complaints, and complex claim issues (25%)
  • Train, mentor, and provide support to team members (20%)
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and project participation (15%)
  • Ability to work remotely and manage multiple priorities effectively is a requirement of the role. *

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Must-Haves:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 3+ years of experience in employee benefits or financial services
    • Proven experience in managing claims and working with claimants
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in arts or sciences, business, or a related field
    • Experience with Supplemental Benefits and/or claims
    • Advanced knowledge of supplemental insurance products and complex claims management
    • Experience in training and mentoring team members
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Remote work flexibility
    • Ability to handle high-stress situations and complex problem resolution

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$57,250.00 - $84,250.00
