Job description

As the Senior Business Transformation Analyst, you will execute on the Group Platform Transformation strategy development for your assigned workstream. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional Group Benefits and the Enterprise partners as required. The platform will enable our organization to provide more efficient and improved customer service to both our Group Benefits B2B and B2C customers. It will provide our Consumers with a market leading customer experience and digitally enabled platform.

You are responsible for business analysis and the creation of and management of user stories; working with Safe Agile teams for your workstream, leading to the successful implementation and deployment of new functionality for the marketplace including the prioritization of the work given your assigned development team(s), ensuring that we optimize business value and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for working with newly developed technology, ensuring deliverables meet customer needs, and ensuring improvements are identified, documented, scheduled, and deployed to production environment in the program increments.

You will execute on the group platform transformation strategy that is developed in partnership with the Group Benefit Leaders by working across organizational lines to create a positive outcome for the program. As part of these responsibilities, you will interface regularly with key internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve current production issues and implement current platform portfolio.

You Will:

  • Engage with the team and stakeholders on a regular basis to Plan, gather and structure information from a variety of stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other sources to understand business needs.
  • Identify, describe, and communicate, detailed business requirements as Features and User Stories including Data Mapping across domains to enable technical development.
  • Work with business to ensure delivered software is meeting the definition of done and meets the objectives of the business.
  • Identify and develop requirements for any future improvements.
  • Prioritize Features and User Stories continuously to maximize business value for each Sprint and Program Increment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and review acceptance test criteria, test plans, and scripts (manual and automated) for UAT and Production.
  • Be subject matter expert on domain and assist business with initial deployments/ issue resolution until transitioned to production support team
  • Perform validation of Features and User Stories as necessary by understanding the definition of done/acceptance criteria for each feature and providing sign off as required
  • Accountable for clarifying and/or reviewing user stories with the agile team(s) in a timely fashion; empowered to make critical decisions quickly; Ensure user stories meet the definition of ready
  • Participate during (SAFe/agile) ceremonies and raise risks as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with members on the GPT trains as well as other trains
  • Maintain healthy working relationships with internal and external team members
  • Provide timely responses to business stakeholders by engaging with the team and other stakeholders.
  • Schedule requirements review, triage and planning sessions
  • Managing features and stories from a customer perspective; identify, communicate, and break down features to MVP

You Have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience, minimum of 3 years managing and successfully delivering complex and/or multi-year transformative programs across Business and IT.
  • Experience working in a SAFe agile software development environment.
  • Strong process and product management skills
  • Deep understanding of technical capabilities with the ability to translate business needs into features and user stories focused on customer experience, agile product development, and requirement analysis
  • Ability to construct/prioritize a program backlog with significant collaboration from IT, Business, Architecture, Vendor Partners and Agile leadership.
  • Experience with Agile toolset (JIRA, JIRA-ALIGN, Confluence).
  • Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box and translate strategies into actions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Team player with proven ability to foster and manage working relationships within a matrixed environment with a positive attitude
  • Strong influencing and communication skills with ability to socialize the strategy and roadmap at various levels of the organization, ability to “tell the story”.
  • Knowledge of API design and testing a plus

Location and Work Arrangement:

  • This position will require a hybrid work arrangement out of one of the following Guardian Offices: Bethlehem, PA; Boston, MA, Holmdel, NJ; or New York, NY.

Salary Range
$84,320.00 - $138,522.50

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
