Product Design Engineer - Mechanical Seals

Major responsibilities:

Mechanical Seals

Product Management

Master data check, revision and upload

Maintaining media lists for configurators

Prepare data for monthly reporting

Design Department

Supporting and executing of development project for new seal type series.

Preparation and revision of production and customer drawings of MS components and assemblies according to internal standard of KSB MS design department

Creation and revision of MS 3D assemblies (e.g. variant management via arrangements, …)

Support with custom design MS (e.g. installation space, …)

Support with revision of BOMs via SAP Creation of item codes and BOMs via SAP MDR ticket system (e.g. new material combination, …)

SupremeServ Engineering Service

Engineering for accommodating KSB seals in installed pumps as service to KSB SupremeServ Centers (service provided as offering from SupremeServ ReEngineering Center)

General support related to seal application and seal trouble shooting for KSB SupremeServ Centers

Requirement profile:

Formal education: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering

Professional experience: 5 to 7 Years in mechanical seal design, development & testing

Defined competencies:      

Functional Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of mechanical seal fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes related to Mechanical Seals.

2. Proficiency in CAD software (Unigraphics NX) is desirable

3. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

4. Experience with design for manufacturability, assembly, and testing.

5. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) and regulatory requirements.
