Sr. Software Engineer in Test
Locations: San Francisco, CA - Hybrid 6x a month

What You Will Get To Do:
This role is an engineer who will focus more on designing and developing scalable end to end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-end; doing data validation automation, perform API load testing, system security and data security testing.
- Architect, design, and lead our automating testing infrastructure and testing strategy to support cloud continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Evaluate existing automation frameworks and define clear steps and processes to improve testing procedures
- Lead efforts to improve code coverage and partner with quality assurance leadership to prioritize closing gap in automated testing for the cloud platform, applications and microservices
- Develop expertise in client workflows to build comprehensive testing strategies for functional, integration, and performance tests
- Research and prototype new tools to drive architectural decisions
- Work with product management, quality assurance, and software engineers to produce on-time, high-quality releases
- Define clear goals for all aspects of a product test and define steps for their proper execution
- Properly document test cases and create effective and focused testing plans to drive the platform's quality team
- Partner with Quality Assurance Engineers to develop automated regression testing for the product using Postman, Jenkins and other tools
Qualifications / Requirements
- BS in software engineering, computer science, or related field
- 6+ years or equivalent experience with web and API automation testing
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Proficient in CI/CD pipeline development
- Solid experience with GIT and source control
- Passion for solving complex problems and can-do attitude
- Strong communications skills
- Burning desire to learn and continually improve
Bonus Skills
- 6+ years’ experience in software development with languages such as Python, Java, Java Script, SQL
- Experience in data pipeline testing such as ETL tests, data warehouse tests, etc
- Experience in chaos engineering
- Experience in BDD, Locust, Playwright and other testing platforms.
