Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse (Days), sometimes referred to as an Inpatient Rehab Nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Riverdale, GA. An Inpatient Rehab RN in our hospital will specialize in caring for patients recovering from acute or chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgeries that require rehabilitation services. These nurses help patients regain independence, improve their physical and functional abilities, and adapt to new health circumstances.
Bonus Options: up to $20,000
Employment Type: Full Time ($3.50-$6.00 shift diff)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronic diseases or other conditions
- monitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, responses to rehabilitation therapies; along with administration of medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed
- assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapists
- teach patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairs
- educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies
- participate in discharge planning, ensuring that patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator Management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
