Position Overview:

By Light is hiring a full-time Cybersecurity Analyst to support By Light’s Security Operations Center (SOC) and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Program. This is a technical position that will collaborate with By Light’s Corporate IT Team to secure our growing enterprise. An ideal candidate will support cyber operations, threat hunting, open-source intelligence gathering, data analysis, briefing findings, producing reports, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Hands-on experience with Splunk, including the ability to create dashboards and reports for threat detection, response, and mitigation.
Experience in log review processes, with the ability to analyze and interpret log data to identify potential security threats.
Working knowledge of security concepts, including operational familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems for endpoint management and security actions.
Experience running vulnerability scans, generating patching reports, and resolving customer support tickets related to security tools.
Proven ability to manage and meet deadlines for multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and provide clear updates to team members and stakeholders.
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and industry standards, with experience applying them in practical scenarios.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

Experience with various cyber investigative techniques.
Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders or entities as directed, demonstrating professionalism and clear communication.
Hands-on experience with log aggregation technologies, such as Splunk, AWS CloudWatch Logs, or similar tools.
Special Requirements
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
