We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Community Marketing Manager to lead and shape our community strategy, fostering an engaged and loyal user base in the crypto space. This role goes beyond day-to-day community management to define and implement community growth strategies, drive brand loyalty, and create meaningful partnerships that amplify our reach. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at engaging crypto audiences, and have a track record of building and scaling active, vibrant communities in the Web3 space.

This is a remote role that will need to be operating during Pacific Time.


Responsibilities:

  • Community Strategy Development:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive community growth strategy that aligns with broader business objectives.

    • Set and track KPIs to measure the success of community initiatives, optimizing based on performance and insights.

    • Design frameworks for community-building initiatives that foster engagement, loyalty, and active participation.

  • Leadership & Vision:

    • Lead a team of community managers (volunteers and contractors), setting the strategic direction for our online presence and ensuring consistent, high-quality engagement.

    • Establish and promote best practices for community engagement and user retention.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor within the organization, representing the community voice in cross-functional discussions with product, marketing, and leadership teams.

  • Strategic Content & Campaigns:

    • Develop and oversee the execution of high-impact campaigns to drive community engagement, including educational series, live events, AMAs, and reward programs.

    • Ensure content aligns with user interests and company goals, focusing on value-driven, user-centric content.

    • Collaborate with marketing to craft campaigns that elevate brand awareness and user advocacy, helping to build a community of active supporters and evangelists.

  • Data-Driven Insights:

    • Implement and manage advanced analytics to measure community growth, sentiment, and engagement levels, using insights to guide strategy.

    • Act as a key feedback loop, identifying trends, pain points, and opportunities to influence product development and marketing decisions.

    • Monitor competitor communities and industry trends to keep the strategy adaptive and innovative.

  • Partnerships & Ecosystem Development:

    • Identify and forge partnerships with key community ambassadors and relevant projects to drive community growth and extend reach.

    • Develop community incentive programs, and work closely with the growth team to enhance organic growth and community-driven marketing.

    • Oversee relationship management with external partners and influencers, collaborating on campaigns to maximize impact.

  • Team Management & Development:

    • Guide, mentor, and support a team of volunteer and contractor community managers, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with strategy.

    • Establish workflows, resources, and guidelines to standardize and elevate the community management process.

    • Foster a team culture that values innovation, agility, and high standards of engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in community management, with at least 2 years in a senior or strategic role within crypto, fintech, or tech startup environments.

  • Deep understanding of blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, or Web3 ecosystems; enthusiastic about the crypto industry.

  • Proven experience developing and executing high-level community strategies, with measurable success in driving user engagement and growth.

  • Strong team management abilities, with experience mentoring and guiding volunteer or contractor team members and working cross-functionally with leadership.

  • Expertise in community analytics, social media metrics, and reporting tools to evaluate and adapt community strategies.

  • Skilled in creating and maintaining strong relationships with influencers, KOLs, and strategic partners.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to craft messaging that resonates with diverse crypto audiences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with community engagement software, advanced analytics platforms, and CRM tools.

  • Familiarity with incentive structures such as loyalty programs, gamified reward systems, and ambassador programs.

  • Experience organizing and leading large-scale virtual or in-person events for the community.

The compensation for this position will vary based on geography and other factors (including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations). The base salary range for this role for the United States is $110,000 - $140,000. Additionally, this full-time role is eligible to receive benefits, as well as participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. Final offer package will be at the company’s sole discretion
