About the Role 

Charlie Health is hiring exceptional candidates preferably with a Masters degree in mental health and previous work experience facilitating groups to provide remote, telehealth services to our adolescent and young adult clients. We’re eager to work with forward-thinking mental health professionals to enhance our programming and provide the best possible care to our clients.

Our clients are struggling to cope with underlying mental health issues and benefit from therapists that are sophisticated and relational. Successful candidates are committed to bettering the mental health of their clients, along with being adept at self-care, ensuring they are prepared to give their best every day to address the youth mental health crisis.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide direct patient-facing care through group sessions 
  • Ensure groups are delivered in accordance with Charlie Health curriculum and recognized evidenced based best practices
  • Participate in collaborative Group Supervision (biweekly) and Treatment Team (weekly) meetings with direct supervisor and peers 
  • Work collaboratively across the care team including with Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, Crisis Managers and Care Coaches 
  • Support the Charlie Health clinical team by facilitating groups in other modalities including but not limited to, creative arts, contemplative practice, relational programming and more
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, care team staff and occasionally families 
  • Monitor documentation to ensure all of your notes are included and meets agency and professional standards per DHCS and The Joint Commission standards
  • Maintain and model professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling required 
  • Post-Graduate training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) required
  • Must hold a clinical license, clinical registration, or license-eligible
  • Must be able to provide at least 12 direct patient facing hours. Note, those 12 hours does not include documentation, meetings, etc.
  • Must be available during late afternoons and evenings on weekdays to meet the schedules of our adolescent and young adult clients
    • 3-8pm MT on Monday to Thursday
    • 9-3pm MT Saturdays
  • Experience working with youth and young adults in intensive treatment setting
  • Experience and/or interest in running DBT groups
  • Passionate about the benefits of groups and skilled in conducting groups
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Creative and engaging, especially over video!
  • The technical ability to run effective telehealth sessions
  • Reliable WIFI connection when meeting with clients
  • Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox–in addition to EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis
  • 1099 role
