The Senior Resource Manager role is the ultimate team player - they are responsible for ensuring the creative team have the tools, time and support they need to get brilliant work done. This role is the eyes and ears of the studio, and takes that insight to proactively build out improvements, troubleshoot early on and bring energy and joy to the team. They will cultivate a culture that leads to exceptional and highly impactful creative.
This role in a nutshell:
Reporting into the Lead Creative Ops Manager, the Senior Resource manager is responsible for ensuring that we have the resources to deliver all the creative work required. This is with a day to day focus on scheduling, alongside a proactive view of upcoming work, pipeline plans, understanding of the team’s capacity and knowing when we need to take proactive action.
A key part of this role will be working with the creative project management team and understanding their requirements, making decisions on budget for additional resource, raising POs and paying suppliers.
You will have a natural ability to problem solve, support creativity and understand the conditions it takes to thrive. Being able to report on the burndown of budgets and resource hours will be second nature to you, and you’ll have a keen eye for process efficiencies and improvements.
Experience in creative delivery is a must, so that you’re able to pick up a few projects as needed. You must be passionate about creative, finding a better way, and a stickler for good briefs!
Your key outcomes will be:
- Manage the day to day scheduling of creative resource
- Proactively plan the longer term resource plan, matching skill sets to briefs
- Interrogate all briefs that come into the creative studio, understanding the requirements or the questions that need to be asked (working with the PMs)
- Work with the Design and Copy Leads on the creative development of their team
- Play a key decision making role in the team, informed by wider business context and priorities.
- Budget management of freelancer and agency budgets
- Play your part in evolving how the creative studio runs, including optimising the prioritisation, scheduling and review process
You’ll be a successful Senior Resource Manager here at OVO if you…
- Have a track record in the set-up and management of creative studios in a fast paced environment
- Have extensive experience in scheduling resource for either agency or in house creative studios (ideally both)
- Decent experience in production, creative delivery, digital assets creation, project management tooling and creative reporting
- Relish the challenge of a fast paced, scale up working environment
- Be calm and comfortable working with levels of ambiguity and adept at bringing order and clarity into a team environment
- A real people person who develops powerful working relationships quickly and maintains them successfully
- An exemplary team player, at their best when working within a collective to deliver a shared vision
- Be well versed in brand and marketing practice, understanding how agency relationships work and used to managing the relationships between agencies and internal teams

We’ll pay you between £50,000 and £60,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.
