About This Location:
Our Home Office is located in the heart of Bloor West Village in Toronto, just steps away from Jane Subway station. This role is a hybrid position.

About This Role:
Under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor and following Company policies and procedures and general accounting principles, the Co-op Student help to prepares and pulls invoices, bank deposits, enters journal entries, and, compiles and distributes reports and performs other duties that support the objectives of the Accounting Department of Arbor Memorial.
Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:
- Enrolled in a University or college program majoring in business or accounting program.
- Reliable and detail-oriented individual with time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good computer skills, ideally with MS Office experience including intermediate Word and Excel skills. Strong keyboarding and data-entry skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
- Consistently provides outstanding internal customer service by exemplifying Arbor’s core service values and corporate values of Integrity, Trust, Belonging, Teamwork and Excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Entering approved invoices into A/P computer system to generate vendor payment.
- Matching paid cheques to entered invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Sorting Accounting’s incoming mail and filing
- Assisting with projects (e.g., stale dated cheque review).
- Review monthly cremation reports for uninstalled contracts
- Assist with pull request for AR receipts or other documents as needed
- Other duties as required to help out Accounting staff (journal entries, reconciliations etc.)
- Back filing tasks for AP and Accounting or helping with gathering information for new ERP system
