Role is based in Europe, ideally in Paris (France).


 

Reporting to the E&C Global Corporate Organization, the “E&C Global Director Modularisation” will develop and drive the Modularization strategy, in coordination with the Solutions Development, Engineering, Logistics and Construction Team. This role will be accountable for: 

  • Development of the modular strategy and ensure its execution for the Modular Projects, optimizing and standardizing when possible the different Units to limit the extension of the Works in Construction and providing the advantages against stick-built strategy

  • Gap analysis of modular capabilities and establishment of the necessary process and tools in accordance with the Modular Strategy (short term and medium term)

  • Lead the coordination and establish an optimal organization of groups of Engineering, Logistics, Construction and Pre-commissioning to ensure technical quality, time and cost of the modules construction following the technical specifications. 

  • Monitor  and resolve conflicts, interferences and difficulties during the modules design and execution. Will work jointly with the Engineering Manager, the Logistics Manager and the Construction Manager, to coordinate the corrective measures during all the phases of the Projects.

  • Actively collaborate on the Construction Yard Subcontract definition by assisting and Leading the Construction and Subcontracting Team and commenting on the Technical proposals. Will be involved in the Subcontractor selection and in the Subcontract Award.

  • Actively collaborate on the Heavy Transport / Heavy lifting Subcontracts definition by assisting Logistic and ConstructionTeam and commenting on Technical proposals. Will be involved in the Subcontractor selection and in the Subcontract Award.

  • Promote the capitalization  from past modular projects and the continuous improvement process.


 

Are you a MATCH?


 

Education: Master of Science degree or equivalent, with a focus on Project Management / Construction / Constructability / Modularization

  • Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Modularization

  • Experience working on large-scale industrial projects (minimum €100M).

  • In summary, the ideal candidate will be a highly experienced project management professional with a strong technical background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale industrial projects using modularization strategies.

  •  Technical Skills:

    • Modularization Studies and Design Basis, Plot Plan and Installation Sequence, 3D Modular Model Review, Transport and installation configuration for all modules maneuvers (including Vessels, Columns, tanks…)

    • Experience with Yards Construction

    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to deploy simple methods and produce concise, relevant analyses.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills, with English as the primary language.

    • Strong leadership skills to facilitate effective project oversight and deploy consistency across multiple Execution Centers

    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Passion for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

    • Focus on long-term operational goals.

    • Deep understanding of modularization drivers, risk analysis, and design basis.

    • Ability to manage and coordinate complex technical aspects of modular projects.
