About our Company:

Monarch E&S, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch) is a rapidly growing, and successful property and casualty insurance wholesaler and managing general agency with branches in Agawam, MA – Miami, FL - & Burbank, CA. We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.

About the Position:

An ideal candidate for the Policy support associate position will have experience in customer service and a strong understanding of insurance terminology will be handling the processing and customer service for active business. Policy support associates will be responsible for processing applications for changes to, reinstatement of, and cancellation of insurance policies.   In addition, a successful candidate will be able to handle multiple levels of interactions with our, internal and external, partners. Working in tandem with Underwriting and Renewal teams(s), this individual will serve as a point of contact for clients requesting information on their existing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

  • Handle correspondence from policyholders or agents, original insurance applications, and other company documents to determine if changes are needed and effects of changes

  • Process, prepare, and submit forms, such as submitting applications for coverage to insurance carriers as required for existing and renewal business

  • Scheduling and reviewing inspections

  • Review, processing and issuance of endorsement requests.

  • Prepare/Review/Distribute Loss Runs and Expiration Lists

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate required; College courses preferred

  • Previous work experience in the fields of insurance, customer service or similar, with a successful track record

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and various rating portals

  • Proactive, independent work ethic with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude.

  • Ability to work in dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.

  • Must be highly organized and able to structure the day based on deadlines and pending items

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.

Work Location:

This position will allow remote work, but you must be able to work east coast hours.

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $18 to $22 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
