Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Functional Safety & Cyber Security Engineer ideally located nearby Romania, Timisoara or Budapest, Hungary.

Reporting to the Director Functional Safety and Cybersecurity the Functional Safety & Cyber Security Engineer role will be responsible for coordinating and executing functional safety & cyber security activities for products being developed by the global engineering team.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and negotiate the Cybersecurity Interface Agreements and Development Interface Agreements with customer and suppliers;

  • Develop functional safety/cyber security plan, including safety/security related processes and workflow;

  • Provide technical guidance to project teams to develop item definition, cybersecurity goals, cybersecurity concept, and for the cybersecurity product development;

  • Lead and coordinate Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) methodologies and activities;

  • Prepare and maintain cybersecurity incident response plan and coordinate with all necessary stakeholders;

  • Lead and coordinate activities and creation of documentation in accordance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434;

  • Flow down functional safety/cybersecurity requirements to all subsystems, specifying detailed safety/security requirements for both HW and SW;

  • Provide support and guidance to HW/SW teams for implementation of Cybersecurity/Functional Safety requirements.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical engineering or related fields;

  • Experience in software/hardware development, automotive electronic product testing and product validation activities;

  • Hands on experience in software development of products in the automotive industry;

  • Experience with OEM cybersecurity/functional safety requirements (including SYS/HW/SW allocation and decomposition) in the automotive industry;

  • Extensive hands-on experience in actual automotive cyber security and functional safety engineering product development;

  • Excellent Romanian and English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills needed to effectively work with internal and external customers;

  • Experience with microcontrollers and security modules and techniques;

  • Certification and training in ISO 21434 and ISO26262.
