Job Description  

 

Invoke is looking for a Release and Build Specialist to create and oversee the architecture, maintenance, and continual innovation of reliable, scalable, and efficient automated build and deploy pipelines. We are looking for someone who will enhance those pipelines with monitoring, alerting, and archival of previous builds with their parameters in a searchable historical database. A sharer of knowledge, the Release and Build Specialist will write documentation on how these pipelines and their monitoring systems work, collaborate with team members of many other disciplines to measure their needs, and come up with solutions to support them. 

 

What you'll do  

 

  • Implement and contribute to the build and release pipelines 

  • Implement build and release monitoring solutions 

  • Anticipate automation needs for project milestones 

  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team 

  • Facilitate the sharing of technologies and existing tools between projects 

  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, efficiency, versatility and parameters of the build system across multiple platforms 

  • Implement metrics monitoring and interpretation to improve pipeline quality 

 

What You’ll Bring  

 

  • Experience with builds and release for game consoles and their platforms 

  • Understanding of CI/CD Systems (Jenkins, Teamcity, Gitlab, etc.) 

  • Knowledge of one or more programming language (C++, C#, Python) 

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Batch, PowerShell) 

  • Understanding of source code management systems (Git, Perforce, etc.) 

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 

  • Experience with AWS, a plus 

  • Basic understanding of alternative operating systems (Linux, Docker, docker-compose) is a plus 

  • Autonomy and innovation 

  • Good analytical skills 

  • Detail-oriented, team player with good communication and planning skills 

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
