IT Application Administrator

KBR is seeking an experienced System Administrator (SA) to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) efforts related to Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM). This position will provide Supporting Applications Administration support for the AvPLM IPT and its customers. This includes maintaining application software, monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the software environment, forecasting and planning for application capacity and demand, and other tasks. As a Supporting Applications SA, the Supporting Applications (Ranorex, Splunk, Amazon Web Services, Citrix Workspace, Microsoft) will be your primary focus, but you may regularly interact with the core AvPLM applications (Siemens Teamcenter PLM suite and eQube MI ESB) as well as a litany of supporting applications. To support this, you will work alongside other sub-team SAs as well as members of the Infrastructure Administration team to perform a variety of application and integration activities. This will include collaboration with the AWS GovCloud hosted system boundary for the AvPLM environments and using AWS Cloud Native Services to perform normal daily duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily checks of IT systems
- Triage, monitor, and work Navair National Help Desk support tickets
- Complete Configuration Change Control Board (CCB) requests
- Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in an unclassified network environment for applications, databases, integrations, or infrastructure as assigned
- Support Windows Server builds and have the ability to harden systems to comply with DoD RMF policies.
- Perform security patching and updates on Windows servers, using ACAS/Nessus vulnerability management to maintain compliance
- Support Windows Server performance monitoring, including monitoring disk space; and resource utilization, capacity, and availability
- Perform server application software installation, configuration, and patching for the Supporting Applications, including regular patching and vendor hotfixes
- Provide troubleshooting support using application logs and Windows logs
- Coordinate outsourced help requests
- Assist with coordination of Maintenance Scheduling
- Assist with license and subscription management
- Possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Attend and contribute to Teams collaboration meetings for new requirements, troubleshooting/diagnosis, monitoring, and server-side application support.
- Assist with documenting processes and procedures and keeping documentation updated
- Provide weekend and after-hours support as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) plus four years’ experience or 8+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required. Must hold an active/current DoD Secret Clearance + SSBI or be eligible to obtain and maintain.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE & an Operating System Certification

Experience supporting the DoD community.

This position offers a flexible remote working environment.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: $104,000-130,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
