About the team and the role:
Buyer Experience Teammate
We are passionate about creating experiences our customers love! Our Buyer Experience team is part of the Global Customer Experience Department. In this role you will be supporting customers who buy & sell on the eBay platform.
* Important Information *
This is an inbound phone based role that will include evening and weekend work.
For this role you need to be located in the Republic of Ireland.
You will need to have a fibre connection for the internet in order to work remotely.
The start date for this position is February 10th 2025.
We provide virtual training and require full attendance for the training period.
Training dates: February 10th 2025 - March 31st 2025
Please note that no holidays can be taken during this time to provide optimum training & upskilling.

What you will accomplish:
Our Buyer Experience teammates will support eBay Buyers with a seamless end to end buying experience whilst also providing support to our sellers when problems arise with items they have sold.
Act as mediator between buyers and sellers, using step-based resolutions, that are not conclusive on every call
Supporting our members in finding answers to their buying, selling, and account related questions.
Review appeals where sellers or buyers are appealing eBay case decisions, or feedback.
Make and deliver decisions that may negatively impact one party. These decisions can have financial impact to the customer or eBay
Build trust, educate, and create great experiences despite delivering difficult messages
Take appropriate action to ensure eBay is a safe and compliant trading platform for our community
Excel at learning through our training programs and self-learning to keep growing your skills & knowledge
Adhere to your daily schedule, tasks and goals, supported by your team leader and coach
What you will bring:
You have at least 2 years customer service experience in either a virtual or face to face environment
In order to be considered for this role, candidates will need to be located in Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford or Wicklow
A successful candidate would have the ability to deal with conflict, and guide parties through the steps towards resolution
You are assertive, with the ability to say “No” and deliver a difficult message with confidence
You have a strong ability to evaluate cases from a business perspective
You are an excellent communicator, with high level of compassion and emotional intelligence
You are Self-aware, understanding voice tone control and its impact on how customers feel, can adapt to different customers & cultures
Resiliency will be key to this role as will the ability to handle stress and be productive under pressure
You are a learner, always growing and open to feedback
You enjoy taking ownership and control, and driving resolution
You are Driven and motivated to achieve targets and meet your metrics
You are Motivated and disciplined while working from home
Candidates must have Strong PC skills, can operate Windows and troubleshoot a PC, tablet or mobile phone
You are able to adapt to a multitude of different customer profiles and experiences
