Senior PHP Developer

Are you a developer with a passion for making existing systems better? We're looking for a Senior PHP Developer with a passion for AWS, troubleshooting and and improvements on our Neo team building veterinary software.

This role will have a focus on maintaining and improving our application, infrastructure and deploy processes. We’re especially looking for someone who is curious and always learning better ways to doing things, as well as troubleshooting. Neos core technologies are PHP, AWS as well as Angular.

This role is fully remote from USA

A bit more about the role, you will:

• Improve reliability, quality and time-to-market of our practice management software

• Help maintain the software, infrastructure and system processes

• Code programs using various programming languages as appropriate.

• Test and debug programs to finalize and ensure smooth operation.

• Document program design, coding and other details to guide others in application development, use and maintenance.

• Support, update and maintain existing systems in response to business needs, system problems or other factors. Coordinating with project teams to design, code, test and document system changes.

• Coordinate with project team members to define application requirements. Identifying business needs, assessing available technologies and developing and presenting solutions.

• Provide high level of customer service, partner with end users in the resolution of problems or in deployment of new applications.

So what are we looking for?

• 4+ years of Experience with PHP.

• Experience with Angular or react

• Experience in AWS including S3, RDS and Lambdas

• A knowledge of JavaScript/ Typescript

• Familiarity with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Ability to leverage technology background and understanding of latest technologies to apply to development work.

• Understanding of procedural and object oriented design.

• Excellent problem solving skills

• Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences (both as a speaker and listener).

• Salary of $90,000-$120,000
