JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This role will be instrumental in managing and administering our comprehensive benefits programs in the U.S., and potentially providing support to our international groups. The manager will be involved in strategy input and implementation, insurer/vendor/consultant management, project management, team member communications, day to day benefit administration and data analysis. They will also have people management responsibilities within the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Global Benefits on shaping and executing on our benefits strategy while developing relationships with our varied businesses and oversight committees to support Greystar's labor and business goals.
• Serve as the primary contact for select insurers and vendors to focus on their operations, service delivery, reporting and any issue resolution. Areas of responsibility may include:
o Health, dental and vision plans
o Well-being programs
o Disability and leave administration (in partnership with the Leave Administration team)
o Retirement plans (401(k), RRSP, GPP, etc.)
o Digital health vendors
o Specialty and voluntary benefit programs
• Manage and mentor members of the Benefits team, fostering professional growth and providing regular feedback.
• Coordinate work and projects with our outside consultants relative to areas of focus, such as US health plans, for example.
• Assist team members with escalated claims and appeals, acting as a liaison with insurers and vendors to resolve complex issues effectively.
• Be the overall project manager for the annual Open Enrollment and special projects as necessary, including those with our benefits administration system, Dayforce.
• Support our communication efforts and tools for team members to increase awareness of the benefits we offer.
• Design and promote wellness initiatives to support team member health and engagement.
• Research, analyze and recommend new benefit programs for Greystar to remain competitive and manage costs related to benefit plans. Implement programs, providing effective communication and training to employees.
• Help ensure that benefit programs support the company’s growth strategy, business objectives, and talent acquisition and retention goals; while maximizing total reward value and responsibly managing Greystar’s investment.
• Play an active role in data analytics and internal reporting and dashboards.
• Work closely with HR Operations, Payroll, HRIS/Workday team, our Managed Benefits team at Dayforce and HR Shared Services team as it related to benefits.
• Oversee benefits integration during acquisitions or management takeovers, ensuring seamless transitions for team members.
• Assist with budgeting, financial management and internal reporting for benefits programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA. This includes managing required testing and audits.
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - 145,000.
Additional Compensation:
- Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
- Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
