The Role

• Contract Type: Independent Contractor (Remote).
• Schedule:
  • 🕒 No guaranteed teaching hours.
  • 🔄 Variable schedule based on operational needs within predefined time frames.
    • Dayshift or nightshift and weekday or weekend positions to suit your availability.
  • 🗓️ Advance notification of your schedule.

Your Responsibilities

• 👩‍🏫 Teach young students using engaging, conversational pre-set lesson plans.
• 💬 Inspire and support students in reaching their language goals.
• ✍️ Provide constructive feedback and effective error correction.
• 👥 Facilitate small group sessions that foster meaningful interaction.

Minimum Requirements

• 🎓 National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent (a bachelor’s degree in any field is an advantage).
• 💼 3-months of teaching experience (formal or informal) is required (only if don’t have a degree)
• 🏅 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate.
• 🗣️ Excellent English proficiency (neutral accent).
• 💻 Strong computer literacy and troubleshooting skills.

Technical Essentials

🌐 Connectivity:

• 🚀 Stable FIBRE internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps upload/download).
• 🔌 LAN cable connection (no Wi-Fi).

💻 PC Specifications:

• 🖥️ Intel® Core™ i5 6th Gen processor (or equivalent).
• 💾 Quad-core CPU and 8GB RAM.

🔋 Backup Power:

• 🔌 UPS or Portable Power Station (4–5 hours battery life).
• 📡 Mini-UPS for your fibre router.

🎧 Other Requirements:

• 🎤 Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam (backup recommended).
• 🏡 Quiet, well-lit, professional workspace.
