Facility Outpatient Surgery Coding Specialists

We are seeking FACILITY medical coders to code Same Day Surgery Outpatient services for hospitals across the United States. These are remote, W2 positions.

Responsibilities:

Review documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and applicable modifiers to same day surgery encounters
Works with the coding manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of charts for facility same day surgery coding
Ensures rules, guidelines and client’s expectations are being met.
Previous EPIC experience a plus, but not required

Qualifications:

The following are required to be considered for this position:

A minimum of 3 years' experience surgery coding in an acute care hospital, teaching facility, or trauma center
AHIMA credentials to include one or more of the following: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS, with facility coding experience
A demonstrated track record of maintaining high quality and 95% accuracy standards
Must pass our coding assessment
