The Opportunity

As Head of Product, you will play a critical role in driving the success of 1848 Ventures by defining and leading the product strategy, development, and execution across our portfolio companies. You will be responsible for shaping the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and OKRs.

What You’ll Do

Set the Vision:

  • Define and articulate clear product strategies for each venture, aligning with 1848 Ventures’ mission and OKRs.
  • Develop and maintain prioritized product roadmaps detailing key features, milestones, and timelines.

Drive Product Development:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept validation to launch and iteration.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure timely and seamless product delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth market, customer, and competitive analyses, staying ahead of industry trends to identify opportunities and address unmet needs
  • Establish and monitor key product metrics to track success and inform continuous improvement.

Champion AI Integration:

  • Advocate for the integration of AI and machine learning into products to enhance functionality and user experiences.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in AI to identify new avenues for innovation.

Lead the Team:

  • Build and manage a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Mentor and coach product managers, supporting their professional growth and development.

Engage Stakeholders:

  • Communicate product progress, updates, and challenges to key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and internal leadership.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with portfolio company founders and teams to ensure alignment and partnership.

Who You Are

You are a visionary product leader with a proven track record of building, scaling, and driving success in B2B SaaS software products. With deep expertise in Product-Led Growth, you excel at crafting strategies that align cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

  • 8+ years in SaaS product management, with demonstrated success in launching and scaling impactful software solutions.
  • A strong background in driving Product-Led Growth strategies, including customer acquisition, retention, and monetization through product experiences.
  • Experience thriving in fast-paced startup environments, particularly within venture studios, incubators, or high-growth organizations.
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and lean startup principles.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Enthusiastic about the transformative potential of AI in SMB-focused products.
