Software Engineer Director-India (One Identity)

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Director reporting to the Global Vice President, Software Engineering to lead this group of engineering team.

-Build, manage, and provide direct technical leadership to global teams of product development to include chief architects, senior architects, senior and junior software engineers 

-Strong leadership presence,ability to organize, motivate and inspire teams to achieve great results. Positive and proactive leadership style.

-World-class team-building skills and acumen for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent

-Work closely with Product Owners and Product Management teams in a standardised agile process to support design and development for new products enhancements to existing products, and product lifecycle management 

-Work closely with our Legal team and security experts to build and guide implementation of legal and regulatory requirements in all of our products and development lifecycles, ensuring compliance and security 

-Work hand-in-hand with the Engineering teams, advising on best practices to help ensure products are implemented with appropriate technology choices, gathering feedback and adjusting said practices as necessary 

-Guide technology strategy for SaaS application development, cloud architectures and usage, and operations for all product families across the business unit. Help drive awareness and action around concerns like high availability and performance objectives for all of the product families 

-Represent the new center of excellence in company-wide technical discussions 

-Engage in strategic customer and partner conversations and presentations 

-Mentor architects and software engineers across the center of excellence and business unit 

-Bachelor’s degree,Masters+ in Computer Science or equivalent technical graduation/equivalent experience is highly preferred.

-15+ years of work experience as software engineer and architect, 5+ years of work experience as a software engineering team          manager or leadership experince is highly preferred. 

-Experience in disciplined product roadmap/backlog creation, tracking, and implementation

-Exceptional understanding of modern software development, modern testing practices, deployment and operations procedures 

-Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Amazon Web Services platforms 

-Experience and familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including C#, Azure, Azure DevOps, etc 

-Experience with globally distributed, highly available systems a plus

- History of implementing modern automated Continuous Delivery pipelines and Configuration as Code.

-Exceptional knowledge of design patterns 

-Excellent written and spoken command of English language and presentation skills 

-Demonstrable involvement in or contribution to the broader IT/architecture community (e.g. organizing/presenting at conferences and meetups, writing articles/blogs on architecture) would be well regarded 

-Experience successfully building out multiple teams and running a remote center of excellence
