About the Role 

Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for a Licensing Relationship Manager at our Marietta, PA office.  The Licensing Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the business relationship that transpires for agency and producer onboarding and other agency related licensing and support inquiries. They are also responsible for developing opportunities by having a thorough understanding of marketing objectives. This would be a Full-Time position located in our corporate office. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Primary interface for licensing with agents and producers for agency related activities including but not limited to onboarding of agencies, producers, state appointments, and report access.
  • Responsible for reviewing, identifying and administering training for agency relationships.
  • Provide personalized attention to enhance the company/agency relationship and support optimum position within the Agency.
  • Effectively evaluate agent’s needs and communicate Donegal Companies’ corporate goals, products, rules, rates, and incentives to agents.
  • Partners with individual agents, BRMs and licensing staff to respond to agency needs to further business opportunities
  • Develop and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Salesforce and Sircon/Vertafore to provide guidance to BRM and licensing team members, and responsible for identifying reporting needs.
  • Develop a strong command of agency relationships and compensation opportunities to provide recommendations and guidance to BRM and licensing team members as needed.
  • Responsible for handle agency concerns and if needed, escalate appropriately.
  • Become well versed in state licensing and Donegal contracts to ensure compliance with state law and corporate goals
  • Provide timely feedback and recommend process improvement/enhancement opportunities
  • Assist with licensing tasks as needed
  • Conduct agency audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and Donegal requirements.
  • Participate with investigation and response to state regulatory audits.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of property & casualty experience with a thorough knowledge of how the independent agency system works
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Thorough knowledge of Donegal Insurance Group’s customers, competitors, products and services
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to build strong business relationships
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills
