Job description

OneMarketData LLC. The solutions division offers its global clientele (a) industry-leading regulatory products such as Trade and Market Surveillance, Best Execution/TCA, and (b) low-maintenance high-ROI analytics products such as MDRE (Market Data Research Environment) and MLOps platform.

Existing clients of the Solutions division range from asset managers, quant/hedge funds, tier-1 banks, market makers, and exchanges to major regulators across the globe. The platform is designed to function seamlessly for different asset classes and cross-products.

The immediate requirements for this role are aligned with the needs of OneTick’s flagship Trade and Market Surveillance platform but in time the candidate is expected to contribute across other Solutions products.

  • Produce clear and concise functional/technical requirement specifications (FRS) for the engineering team based on these BRDs
  • Walkthrough of these FRS to all stakeholders - customer-facing and in-house engineering teams
  • Perform hands-on analysis of the customer data schema to find any gaps and/or enhancement opportunities. Keep an open mind to leverage any newly surfaced generic information in the data to enhance the product’s data/schema template
  • Analyze huge data sets, create flow/UML diagrams, prepare high-level summaries and ETL workflow (to meet surveillance data specifications)
  • Partner with product managers/owners to perform industry/competitor research, product documentation, content write-up for marketing, client demos, and more
  • Liaise with project managers to provide efforts/timelines inputs on implementation complexity gathered through quantitative (such as data sources, volume, asset classes, etc.) and qualitative (engagement model with customers, unclear/changing requirements, etc.)
  • Perform QA function on new surveillance implementations to ensure we have low false positives (good quality alerts) and work with customers for preliminary reviews of the same
  • Candidate must be willing to take on and pass advanced courses/certifications to build up any gap in understanding of financial products/markets - e.g. (not limited to) online certifications, CFA, FRM, CSMA, etc.
  • Candidate must be ok with on-site visits to Client locations if necessary

Key requirements:
