Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Workday Security Administrator to join our Operations team. This role will design, implement, and maintain the security framework within Workday, ensuring that access control, user roles, and security policies are optimized for our organization’s needs. The Senior Workday Security Administrator will be a key role in defining and establishing a sustainable and scalable approach to how we maintain and govern our Workday system to ensure we have the framework and business controls in place to mitigate risk and preserve the integrity of the data and business processes. This role will be a part of our Enterprise Workday Center of Excellence supporting our Functional Owners and Subject Matter Experts (People Operations, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, Payroll, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, and General Accounting). Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as Workday security administrator, with a deep acumen of Workday’s security framework and cross platform business processes.
  • Create and update security policies, domains, segmented security, role-based and user-based roles, and business process permissions.
  • Assist users and peers with security-related issues, troubleshooting access problems, and guiding best practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis of security issues and recommend appropriate remediation steps and timely resolutions.
  • Review current internal security controls and propose changes as needed to enhance system security.
  • Perform audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies on a quarterly or periodic basis.
  • Maintain documentation of security configurations, user roles, and related processes for compliance audits and internal reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure adherence to security policies and industry best practices.
  • Validate and vet roles and respective security group assignments, domain security policy and business process security policies.
  • Support Workday releases, new functionality implementations, and enhancements.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvements for Workday security settings and user access processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:

  • 4+ years experience with Workday Security Administration including designing and configuring Workday security groups, roles, and permissions in a full platform environment.
  • 7+ years of work experience in either information systems and/or functional human resources or finance roles providing user support.
  • Familiarity with Workday reporting and security auditing tools.
  • Understanding of enterprise security concepts.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and presentation skills, such as Workday demonstrations and client presentations
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Monday.com with a preference for Workday Help experience.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Operate with high integrity and professionalism handling confidential employee data.
  • Track record of successfully managing and optimizing Workday systems in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.
  • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
  • Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
  • Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Must attend any required training.

$115,000-$155,000 Annually
