Are you ready to make an impact? We’re seeking a driven Procurement Controller to join our team, responsible for the financial management and analysis of procurement activities. Reporting directly to the Benelux Business Controller, you’ll collaborate with the Benelux finance team, our Europe and Central Asia Procurement Director, and Nutreco Global Procurement. In this role, you’ll provide key insights, accurate reporting, and critical budget support to drive procurement decisions.

About The Role:  Oversee the financial operations and analysis related to procurement
 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to procurement activities. Prepares reconciliation of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform variance analysis on budget versus actual spending in procurement, identifying key focus area and leading initiatives to capitalize on opportunities or mitigate risks.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in procurement and finance systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

  • Conduct costing and pricing analyses, including rebates calculation, warehouse cost analysis, and inventory management analysis.

  • Oversee supplier payments and conduct foreign exchange exposure analysis.

  • Utilize financial systems and Power BI to generate standard and ad-hoc reports for procurement financial analysis.

  • Support and track cost-savings initiatives and procurement efficiencies.

  • Monitor procurement transactions to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and approval workflows.

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to implement and track savings initiatives, optimizing vendor and contract spending.

  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improving business and financial performance.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance team capabilities and expertise.


Skills and Expertise

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

    • 3+ years of experience in Finance control, Finance shared services, or a Business Control role in a fast-paced, global business environment

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP or IFRS), financial analysis, and financial reporting.

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial management software, and ERP systems (Unite4Cloud, Power BI, OneStream).

    • Fluency in English and effectively communicating and networking with business and stakeholders (Dutch is also preferred, but not mandatory)

    • Soft skills like analytical strength, collaboration, adaptability, good communication an energetic proactive approach to problem solving.
