Job Description
As the Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM), you will facilitate the patient journey through Sandoz’ Patient Support Services, to educate and address reimbursement and patient access processes, and to help Healthcare Provider offices understand how Sandoz Patient Support Programs (PSP) assist patients. FRMs support Sandoz biosimilar products in Neurology (MS); Endocrinology; Oncology; Immunology (Rheum; Derm; Gastro) and Ophthalmology (Retina).
This position is Remote Field Based (Non-Sales) covering South Central, USA (TX, OK, LA, MO, AR, MS). The Sandoz FRM is a Field Based role that requires minimum 50% travel. This is a remote role, and qualified candidates must reside within the workable geography (TX; OK; LA; MO; AR; MS) to cover their assigned accounts.
Major accountabilities will include, but not limited to:
The FRM manages daily activities to support patient access to Sandoz products and services in healthcare provider offices including:
- Demonstrate deep knowledge in reimbursement and access across Sandoz products.
- Sandoz Patient Support Programs (HUB) offerings and how they support the patient journey for both Medical Benefit and Pharmacy Benefit products.
- Educate physician office staff on the appropriate use of the patient assistance programs and call center support services, including web-based provider programs
- Link with sales representatives (if applicable), patient support programs, and national/regional payer account managers to call out and resolve local payer issues.
- Ability to condense sophisticated issues into simple solutions by working with peers and internal collaborators to improve the patient experience.
- Educate providers and office staff on prior authorization requirements, product coverage status, and payer appeals requirements, processes and timelines for both Medical Benefit and Pharmacy Benefit products.
- Serve on internal advisory teams to provide patient insights that will lead to solutions approved by Sandoz review committee.
- Provide live one-on-one support training on patient support programs to providers & staff, offices, IDNs, hospitals, and infusion centers for the Sandoz Biosimilars business unit portfolio.
What you'll bring to the role:
Education:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in public and private third-party Reimbursement arena or pharmaceutical industry in managed care, clinical support, patient services or sales.
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated ability with coding & billing and in office support programs for medical benefit products. Understanding of the Specialty Pharmacy patient journey for Rx products.
- Establishing relationships within a practice by working closely with them to help remove reimbursement barriers to specialty products for their patients
- Ability to collaborate with matrix partners including multiple sales representatives, sales leadership, Key Account Managers; Payer Account Managers and internal colleagues to reach common goals
- Knowledge of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and processes with expertise in both Medicare Part B (Medical Benefit) & Medicare Part D (Pharmacy Benefit design and coverage policy)
- Knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors, as well as Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems, and Infusion Centers.

- Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CRM (Salesforce.com)
- Understanding of patient privacy laws including HIPAA and similar state laws
Sandoz offers a generous employee benefits package that includes a competitive salary, health insurance coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental and vision, a generous company match for retirement savings accounts, and generous paid time off.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000 and $216,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Certain positions will have responsibilities to support the execution and adherence to CIA obligations, CIA-related deliverables, and any relevant audit, monitoring or Independent Review Organization (IRO) remediation.
