Why this role matters

As a Junior Web Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our marketing website, ensuring it effectively communicates our value proposition and engages potential customers. Your contributions will directly influence our brand presence, drive traffic, generate leads, and support growth experiments, including the development of free tools and other initiatives.

Key responsibilities
  • Website Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update and maintain the Stora marketing website.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the growth and design teams to translate their requirements into technical solutions that drive traffic and generate leads.

  • Growth Experiments: Participate in growth experiments, including the development of free tools and other initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining customers.

  • Performance Optimisation: Monitor website performance and implement enhancements to ensure fast load times and responsiveness.

  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold high development standards.

What you'll bring
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of PHP and JavaScript; experience with frameworks like React or Next.js is preferred.

  • Design Sensibility: To implement and build out web pages.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions promptly.

  • Attention to Detail: An eye for design and ensuring all website elements are accurate and functional.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in web development with PHP and JavaScript.

  • Experience with CMS systems like Wordpress or Craft.

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS, Tailwind CSS and responsive design principles.

  • Experience with version control systems like Git.

  • Previous work in a startup or agile environment is a plus.
