Job description

Speridian Technologies is recruiting for a Business Analyst for our State of California Client- the Department of Healthcare Services, Behavioral Health. This person will be part of a state-of-the-art, extremely vast, IT modernization project working with a variety of cross-functional teams.

This is a remote role, however there will be meetings in the Sacramento area several times a year. Candidates must be based within a 2-4-hour drive or fly time from the Sacramento, CA area. Candidates will need to work pacific standard hours on a daily basis, Monday-Friday. 

The Business Analyst supports the Product Manager, Product Owner, and Product Team by extending their capacity and span of reach during active development and implementation.
Responsibilities List
  • Facilitate discovery for requirement gathering, ensuring alignment with OKRs and Program Product Owner priorities.
  • Capture user stories accurately and comprehensively in a manner that is easily understandable by both the development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Track and manage user stories throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand their vision, priorities, and expectations.
  • Work independently, yet effectively, with general direction from Product Owners and Product Managers.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes both through articulating product requirements, as well as outside the product in order to support process innovation that supports achievement of business OKRs.
  • Analyze and document business use cases, alternative solutions, workflows, and pain points
  • Assist with testing and user guidance throughout development process
  • Assist with release notes and other implementation/training materials as needed
  • Anticipate, analyze, and bring recommendations to system integration, security, enterprise architecture integration needs
  • Assist with the measurement and tracking of product success in meeting OKRs
Qualifications:
  • Analytical and inquisitive thinker
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Extensive experience meeting business analysis responsibilities within an Agile project
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication and people skills
  • Practical experience in capturing reporting requirements and how to leverage data across the portfolio of products to ensure a streamlined business process
Skills:
  • Break Complex processes down into easy-to-follow process flows.
  • A team player who works well with autonomy and can take projects and run with them. 
  • Experience with SWOT, MOST, Mind Mapping and Brainstorming tools.
  • Miro and Atlassian products
  • Healthcare, behavioral health, financial policy, and government tech experience desirable
