Your role:

• Design of software/ firmware for PH products, primary for the Grooming & Beauty business.
• Translate technical requirements into product concepts and electronic software designs.
• Manage product software requirements, lead DFMEA’s and follow the v-model methodology.
• Ensure proper documentation for software& firmware development and followed processes.
• Design and test (simulation) the software modules or firmware, to ensure reliable, efficient, user-friendly user interface and product function control.
• Understand and communicate boundaries of proposed designs and architecture on the software platform roadmap.
• Draw up personal schedule and report on progress, as well as contribute to the planning process of the software and/or firmware.
• Depending on team role, keep oversight of the complete appliance development.
• Contribute to the estimation of the required development effort and run-time resources.
• Leads software platform localization and participates in key component selection.

You're the right fit if:

• Bachelor in Software engineering or equivalent , with minimum 5-10 years of working experience in the field of electronics/ software and firmware product development;
• Preferably to have multiple years working experience in developing software ( battery charging  systems, step down & step up converters, SMPS, MCU firmware, etc. ) for high volume  consumer products and having a thorough understanding of modern software  engineering tools, methods, processes.
• Experience with CFD analysis, FEA (Ansys), and/or other analytical software programs;
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and are able to communicate very well with different (international) people;
• You have a pro-active attitude and high quality mindset towards your assignment;
• Technically, you are an expert in your area, able to develop own ideas and stand up  for their feasibility.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
