Reporting to the Vice President, Product Management, Provider Data Management, the Product Manager will perform a variety of functions in support of the Product Management team for Availity’s Symphony product, primarily by overseeing the development and management of Symphony’s product roadmap in collaboration with Availity’s partner, Integrated Healthcare Association.  Responsibilities include documenting project charters and work breakdown, tracking progress, producing status reports, and organizing meetings.  The role will maintain the necessary rigor and cadence for effective product management to ensure scope, schedule, cost, and risks are effectively managed across multiple efforts for Symphony. Working knowledge of the product development lifecycle and software development lifecycle is required as the product manager will be expected to guide product features through the discovery and requirements definition process and coordinate with software development scrum teams and manage project schedules within a release/deployment environment.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Product Management with data driven products, preferably within healthcare technology. Healthcare background is required to be considered for this role.
  • Experience creating and executing roadmaps as well as leading a team to meet deliverables.
  • Experience managing customer expectations.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions
  • Worked in and are comfortable operating in a matrix organization, coordinating across multiple disciplines.
  • Possess technical acumen and the ability to gather and describe product requirements and get feedback from technical staff.
  • Knowledge of modern technology architectures, database technology, virtualization, and the impact of government initiatives and HIPAA privacy and security regulations on system design.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle using tools like Jira.
  • Expertise in MS Suite of tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen sense for detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive mindset and self-motivation.
  • Innate curiosity in learning new technologies and concepts.

You will set yourself apart with:

  • Familiarity with provider data management and related healthcare datasets
  • PMP or Agile/Scrum certification
  • Experience in healthcare technology
  • Knowledge of IT and Cloud concepts and practices such as AWS

You will be:

  • Enabling the portfolio strategy by delivering a commercially viable product and subsequent solutions and components and ensuring all factors of a go-to-market strategy are enacted.
  • Leading definitions and prioritization of problems, requirements, solutions, and features, which includes working with internal stakeholders, third parties, customers, and users to understand their needs and define the problem to be solved.
  • Collaborating with the Product Organization and Account teams to understand the market opportunity and viability of product design.
  • Engaging with UX/Design and focus groups (users, prospects, clients) to perform concept testing and solution refinement.
  • Defining product vision, roadmaps, and supporting business case for new solutions.
  • Developing or directing development of operational and financial reporting metrics to ensure product success.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and responding to user feedback.
  • Working cross-functionality in a matrix driven environment.
  • Collaborating with technical teams including Data Engineers, Architects, and Developers on solution design and roadmap execution.
  • Leading team of product owners and product analysts to execute against product vision.
  • Ensuring products are well documented to conform to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with marketing to develop material to convey product capabilities and value.
  • Assisting in creation of pricing and packaging.
  • Collaborating with Account Management and other stakeholders to plan internal communications, metrics, process design, and ensure operational readiness.
  • Evangelizing product, company point of view, and differentiation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating content for increasing thought leadership based on point of view.
  • Accountable for the success of the product / solution in the market.
