Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Scrum Master / Business Analyst to work on decommissioning several legacy loan management systems, which will be integrated into their existing Housing Management Solution. The project will encompass reassessing the legacy systems functionality and full integration to the Housing Management System – Loans module.

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

• Initiation to include creating project vision, identifying stakeholders, forming a scrum team, developing Epics, creating a product backlog, and release planning.

• Facilitate events and progress to include aligning to the project vision, daily stand-up, iteration planning, iteration review, and retrospective.

• Planning and estimating tasks to include creating user stories, approving, tasks, sprint backlog, etc.

• Implement to include creating various project deliverables, conducting daily standup meetings, and grooming the product backlog at regular intervals.

• Review and Retrospect to include reviewing deliverables and determining ways to improve the practices and methods used to do project work.

• Releases to include delivering the accepted deliverables and identifying, documenting, and internalizing the lessons learned.

• Coordinate with other teams to include establishing support relationships with other teams and being aware of opportunities to engage and improve program effectiveness.

• Regular status updates for NBHC Manager of Solutions Support and the Steering Committee.

Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• Led facilitated sessions to gather content, document, and obtain consensus.

• Create/Revisethe HNB Business Support Team Operating Model

• Training and knowledge transfer for the Operating Model to the HNB Support team members.

• Update Business Process Models

• Gather Reporting Requirements

• Identifying risks, issues, and conflicts originating from business change requirements

• Produce Training Material – How to documents

• Coach and Support other Business Analyst on the project team as required

• Conduct other Business Analyst tasks as required

Mandatory Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer science,e or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Minimum 5 years of IM/IT experience.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst.

Scored Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience performing Scrum Master activities, such as daily standups, program increment (PI) planning, iteration/sprint planning, conducting retrospectives, administration of team backlogs, collaboration with product owners, and removal of impediments to success for the team.

• 3+ years of experience performing Senior Business Analyst activities, such as developing solution proposals and designs relating to functional areas, performing feasibility studies, capturing business/user requirements, assessing alternative solutions, defining business models using data flow modeling techniques, and mentoring other BAs on the project team.

• 2+ Years of experience supporting information systems specific to government service delivery agencies, such as SNB, SD, NBHC, etc.

• Demonstrate capabilities using examples from previous work gained in the last 5 years

Experience as a Scrum Master with setting the foundation of a project (initial plan/designs, generate product backlog, define scrum/development team ways of working, refine product backlog).

• Experience gained in the last 5 years working with cross-functional business and technical teams that include a mix of in-house and external resources and stakeholders

• Experience gained in the last 5 years in changing management activities.

• Experience gained in the last 5 years using effective communication and how it impacted project success.

• Provide details of relevant experience with Social Housing Management software.
