Leads and manages the strategy, design and support of server and compute systems and services, including but not limited to Windows and UNIX operating systems, hardware platforms and virtualization, hypervisor systems and Corporate and international disaster recovery. Manages technology teams and promotes a teamwork environment. Develops and maintains relationships with RGA IT team leaders to foster and enhance communication between groups. Ensures production technology maintains its leading-edge status and supports the business objectives of RGA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mentors associates within the department. Performs supervisory duties including, but not limited to; hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining of direct reports.
• Leads and manages large, complex projects for IT Operations plans the scope, develops schedules, monitors costs/budgets and allocates resources.
• Manages server implementation for both Unix and Windows systems and services globally.
• Manages operations and engineering of our multi-cloud, on-prem and cloud based compute platforms for RGA globally.
• Manage the strategy, design and support of the global virtualization environment.
• Manages strategy, design and support of the global server and compute infrastructure including service contracts and vendor relationships.
• Maintains and fosters internal client relationships. Takes ownership of the relationship and ensures that clients’ objectives are met and gains understanding when the objectives are not feasible.
• Manages RGA’s disaster recovery plan and ensures Systems and Data are available according to the expectations of the business units.
  
  

EDUCATION

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
  
  

EXPERIENCE

Required

• 10+ Years IT experience, preferably in managing data center resources and managing virtual hosting platforms
• 2+ Years supervisory or team leadership experience
  
  

Preferred

• 10+ years IT production support or relative experience
• Insurance/Financial industry knowledge

Compensation Range

$120,375.00 - $179,365.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
