Job Title: Software Engineer - Drift Buyer Experience

Location: Remote - Poland

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Although we’re proud of our history, we’re just as excited about the future.  We want to create a world-class culture and company that attracts, develops, engages and retains the nation’s elite talent.

Salesloft recently acquired Drift to bolster our platform offering and continue building world-class solutions. This specific role will support Drift’s Buyer Experience team, focused on revolutionizing how businesses communicate with buyers through conversational commerce.

As a Software Engineer on the Drift team, you’ll be creating meaningful innovations that transform the global buying experience. You will have the opportunity to tackle some of the most meaningful problems in the industry—from building adaptive AI for bot-supported conversations to next-generation chat experiences. You will have the opportunity to make a difference.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about building conversational AI tools and can work across the frontend, backend, or full stack. You’ll play a key role in helping Drift redefine conversational commerce, driving change in how buyers interact with sellers in real-time.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading in planning and grooming sessions
  • Coding and developing new features
  • Reviewing code from your teammates
  • Providing ongoing support for the product in production
  • Creating infrastructure that processes billions of messages to help identify buyer intent and prioritize conversations.

If you’re passionate about cutting-edge technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on transforming the buyer experience, this role is for you!

THE TEAM:

Our Drift Buyer Experience product team is a close-knit group of engineers, PMs, and designers who focus on real-time interactions, adaptive AI, and innovative messaging tools that drive success for our customers. The product teams working on Drift are designed to feel like small garage bands—fostering autonomy, innovation, and rapid releases. You will work in an environment that celebrates transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning.

As part of the Buyer Experience team, you'll collaborate with colleagues from sales, customer success, and marketing to ensure our products deliver value and connect buyers with sellers instantly.

THE SKILL SET:

  • 3+ years of experience building large scale web applications
  • Experience in Java and React, with a focus on Dropwizard (90%) and some experience with Spring Boot
  • Experience in an environment like AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres (Citus), Elastic Search, and Kafka

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique
  • Attend the half day introduction to Salesloft Engineering, where you will get a high level introduction to the architecture of the platform and learn the basic processes of the Engineering Team
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, and be assigned to a development team.
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Regularly commit production code

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be very knowledgeable of your team’s surface area
  • Be able to take significant ownership for developing a new feature

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be a lead contributor to team planning and execution
  • Be mentoring engineers on engineering practices and coding standards
  • Achieve the results defined in your first set of OKRs
