Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

  • Contract type: Independent Contractor

  • 8 hours per day with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break

  • Work hours aligned with Powell, OH Time, typically 10 AM to 7 PM with 1 hour unpaid lunch break 

  • Remote work through a secure cloud-based system

  • Manage financial records for businesses across various industries

  • Prepare financial reports on a monthly basis, with specific deadlines

  • Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality

  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities, potentially including tax preparation support


Responsibilities:
  • Manage and reconcile transactions for 24-25 business accounts using QuickBooks

  • Process approximately 500 transactions weekly across all client accounts

  • Reconcile bank statements and categorize transactions accurately

  • Set up and maintain rules for recurring transactions in QuickBooks

  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the firm and its franchise by specified deadlines

  • Send reminders and follow up on required financial documents from clients

  • Organize and manage high volumes of receipts and financial documents

  • Assist in client appreciation tasks, such as coordinating gift sendings

  • Work within a secure IT environment, adhering to strict data protection protocols

  • Potentially support tax season document organization and preparation





Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong overall computer skills

  • Experience in managing multiple business accounts simultaneously

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Familiarity with secure IT practices and willingness to work within strict protocols

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

  • Excellent written communication skills for client interactions
