Position Overview:
Leads the development of enterprise technology, solutions, systems, storage, network and telecommunications engineering designs that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing infrastructure throughout Sutter Health and its affiliates. Interprets architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, configuration, installation, testing and integration of new technology to better support the needs of Sutter Health and its affiliates. Provides in-depth cross-platform server systems, systems engineering, and integration leadership.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Master’s in Science, Computer Science, Technology, Information Technology, Engineering or closely related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years recent relevant experience
Experience working with Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls; Implementation, Operation and Maintenance preferred
Experience with NAC (Multi disciplines) preferred
Experience with VPN (Site to site, Client based remote access) preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Proven knowledge of storage performance, data replication, storage area network (SAN) based backup, load balancing, storage virtualization methods, and SAN zoning and provisioning.
Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, information services (IS) team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.
Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.
Organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.
Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Work as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve a common goal or to gain better understanding of client needs.
Perform effectively in environments with frequent and fluctuating workload changes, competing demands, and frequent interruptions and/or distractions.

Routing protocol – enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EiGRP), open shortest path first (OSPF), border gateway protocol (BGP). frame relay/asynchronous transfer mode (FR/ATM), point-to-point protocol (PPP), high-level data link control (HDLC), multi-link point-to-point protocol (MLPPP) and virtual local area network (VLAN). digital signal and transmission line (DS3/T3), DS1/T1, fast Ethernet (FAST E), gigabit Ethernet (Gig E), 10 gigabit Ethernet (10 Gig E).

Pay Range is $53.59 to $80.39 / hour. For candidates residing in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Texas the Pay Range is $46.81 to $70.22 / hour. For candidates residing in Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Southern Carolina, Tennessee, Utah the Pay Range is $41.61 to $62.42 / hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
