Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Having just launched a new brand (from Beachbody to BODi), a new platform, and a new app where fitness and nutrition is supported by positive mindset content, BODi breaks from the fitness and diet industry and ushers in the era of Health Esteem. Health Esteem specifically rejects the legacy fitness and diet industry playbook of pursuing a healthy lifestyle based on self-criticism – a playbook Beachbody used to abide by. But after observing the uptick in mental health challenges since the pandemic and seeing that 74% of Americans remain overweight or obese today, despite the efforts of the fitness industry, BODi had to make a change.

BODi seeks a hard-working, motivated Manager to partner across our exciting and fast-paced business. The ideal candidate is proactive, driven, and resourceful, with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data. The position will be part of a visible, cross-functional team and help drive strategic decision-making as we expand our business. This person will help support business relationships with corporate leaders across the organization and will also partner closely with the accounting team.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide analytical/strategic support to our Senior Management

• Develop and update financial modeling spreadsheets for Balance Sheets, Cash Flows, and Income Statements accounts.

• Help support the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting/forecasting process
• Track business performance against operating plans and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance analyses for management and business leads
• Establish business relationships and assist in the review of results with the business every month.
• Develop and improve upon recurring reporting processes and assist in KPI preparation and
• Help to identify critical trends and potential risks & opportunities
• Collaborate with accounting and other finance partners to bridge actual results to plan
• Assist in the preparation of Board of Director materials
• Continuously look to increase efficiency through process automation
 

QUALIFICATIONS
• Enthusiasm for complex problem-solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities

• Knowledge of Hyperion (PBCS and HFM) is a plus
• Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to details
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills required, particularly the ability to explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences; the role involves building strong relationships across the organization

• Internally motivated individual who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects
• Must treat people with respect while being courageously forthright

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years in FP&A / corporate finance, strong plus for prior experience developing and assisting cross-functional relationships

• Experience working with data visualization tools and data cubes such as Tableau is a plus

• Experience with financial systems, specifically Oracle EBS, is a plus

EDUCATION

• Undergraduate degree in finance/economics/accounting preferred
