Job Description

Are you an experienced actuarial professional with a passion for Medicare Advantage? Join our dynamic team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, where you'll leverage your expertise in mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to support our rating/pricing, valuation, healthcare economics, and financial forecasting efforts.

  • Collaborate with a team of actuaries to ensure a coordinated approach to the actuarial components of health programs.

  • Provide actuarial support to Network Management, Underwriting, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Healthcare departments.

  • Conduct actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses using Excel, SQL, and SAS.

  • Calculate premiums, risk scores, and reserves for new and existing insurance plans.

  • Support senior analysts and actuaries as needed.

  • Retrieve and validate data for actuarial models, build model enhancements, and analyze changes to calculated factors.

  • Communicate filing status to internal stakeholders and transmit rate filings to regulatory agencies (NCDOI, CMS).

  • Distribute established reports, respond to inquiries, and investigate trends and anomalies.

  • Provide analytic support for corporate and departmental projects.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Medicare Advantage.

  • Completion of at least 5 actuarial exams towards the ASA designation.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, and other statistical software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing support to senior analysts and actuaries.

Salary Range
