Job Description

As a senior member of the procurement team, facilitate a detailed assessment of proposed procurement activities based on the team’s understanding of the current and future external market environment, and provide insights on opportunities to actualize our organizational mission. Support a focus on insight-driven procurement decisions, stakeholder centric experience and quantifiable outcomes. Work collaboratively to build a coalition and support as well as drive action with both internal and external partners. Support the development and refinement of strategic sourcing plans and initiatives to positively impact the management of today’s business while supporting efforts for the definition and evolution towards a health solutions company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work directly with the procurement team and leaders across the company to proactively prioritize procurement needs and create meaningful and actionable outputs, drive the procurement strategy to address these needs, and integrate and align work to the company’s overall strategic goals. 

  • Document and track the follow-ups, questions, and recommendations as part of the procurement review process.  

  • Build and facilitate efforts vendor relationships to understand the value proposition and business case aligned to our business strategy, drive decision making and collaborate with the business areas to procure. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners to drive complex project/initiative work focused on significant business strategies, opportunities and innovation efforts. 

  • Leverage stakeholder insights to develop holistic procurement strategies, programs and plans to effectively drive business outcomes and maximize ROI in vendor engagements. 

  • Collaborate and execute critical activities such as procurement strategic planning, complex financial/ qualitative analysis and thought leadership at a departmental, multi-function, and enterprise level. 

  • Partner and consult with internal clients to identify, plan and execute procurement efforts; help them better understand what problems they are trying to solve, articulate their vision and define and enable success. Provide methods and resources to support their execution of those plans. 

  • Develop reporting to track the effectiveness and outcomes of procurement initiatives.  Summarize outcomes, track and report initiative KPIs, and communicate progress to senior leaders 

  • Track status and progress of procurement activity.  Help identify roadblocks and take action to mitigate issues. 

What you'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with procurement, sourcing, and contracting

  • Proficiency with excel, tableau, or similar reporting tools

  • Experience with project/program management

Salary Range

$75,900.00 - $136,600.00
