What you’ll be doing
As part of the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) group, you will support our strategic path toward realizing our vision of becoming a leading Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing, and Sanctions Program that safeguards our clients’ ambitions. Guided by the principles of focusing on our clients, innovating our businesses, and simplifying processes, you will leverage your process engineering experience to lead EAML process improvement initiatives. This includes the analysis, planning, development, testing, and implementation of these initiatives. You will provide consultation on process designs for EAML initiatives with significant process components. As an advocate for continuous improvement and simplification across the business, you will recommend enhancements to the EAML Leadership team by seeking input from users, conducting proactive research, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify new requirements that improve AML systems and processes.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Process engineering - Utilizing process engineering and project management methodologies, you will conduct process assessments to identify improvement opportunities and waste. You will quantify root causes and improvements using data, recommend solutions that positively impact productivity, and develop control plans to measure the effects of implemented changes. You will plan, track, and assess final impacts where applicable, using project plans, process maps, time studies, impact analyses, and recommendations.
Governance, tracking and reporting - You will take accountability and ownership of leading critical AML business process improvement initiatives from initiation through to closure. You will manage stakeholder adoption and change management associated with these deliverables while ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.
Executive communication - You will consolidate and provide clear and concise communication to the Senior Leadership team regarding process improvement initiatives. Utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills, you will articulate analysis and recommendations effectively.
Relationship management and collaboration - You will help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Building relationships and demonstrating effective stakeholder management will be key. You will coordinate efforts across functional teams and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact with all levels of the organization. You will thrive in an evolving, matrixed environment and remain flexible with shifting priorities.
Innovate and simplify - You will incorporate modern interaction and design concepts, simplifying complex processes and interactions to enhance user experience, deliver quality solutions, and ensure efficient delivery.
