Position Summary:

Our Redmond-based client is seeking an Software Development Engineer for a remote-based opening.

 

The main function of a Software Engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and systems.

 

This role will focus on maintaining existing systems and ensuring a rock-solid build and deployment tools for a new web application. The Software Engineer will work with modern web technologies such as React and Remix to build, maintain, and enhance user-facing components. A typical Software Engineer in this role researches, designs, develops, and tests software for business and general computing applications.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance existing software systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Design, develop, and implement robust build and deployment systems, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate development, determine project scope, and define limitations.
  • Review project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure web applications meet quality standards and user needs.
  • Develop and maintain user-facing components using React and Remix to enhance the functionality of web applications.
Qualifications:
  • Must have 2-4 years of experience in software development, including experience with web technologies such as React and Remix.
  • Must have 4+ years experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Must have 4+ years experience with modern web technologies.
  • Must have 4+ years experience with Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time effectively.
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development, testing, and delivery.
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for reliable build and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, particularly React and Remix, and the ability to develop and maintain user-facing components.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve problems.

  • A competitive pay range of $60- $61/hr (depending on experience).
  • Position Location: United State - Remote.
  • 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • 9 paid holidays per year (which includes 1 personal floating holiday).
