About the role

We’re looking for a Claim Adjuster who is excited about a unique opportunity to help build modern commercial insurance from the ground up!

In this role, you will play a critical role in driving Nirvana’s world class claims organization by auditing and driving claim success through a third party claims administrator. 

What you’ll do

  • Continuously exhibit and uphold the core values of Nirvana 

  • Review coverage and damage analysis completed by the TPA 

  • Review and provide input, as needed, on liability decisions and recovery opportunities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Claims on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations 

  • Provide recommendations on settlement negotiations and litigation management 

  • Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends

  • Collaborate effectively across all lines of business

  • Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization 

About you

  • 4+ years of experience in claim adjudication with a strong preference for experience in commercial auto and/or transportation

  • Active adjusters license in home or designated home state

  • Clear track record of over-achieving targets

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself

  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results

  • Prior experience in a fast paced, high growth environment

  • Ability to successfully navigate in areas of gray 

  • Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world 

  • College degree or equivalent experience
